the rev counter is the wrap around type i fitted it a couple of weeks ago to see if it was reaching maximum revs or not, i was thinking the same as you Bonjo after years of riding high reving multi's was i just expecting too much. the bike is a UK model and as far as i can see there is no restrictor fitted to the throttle body.
