Hi All

I bought a 2004 xt660r last year to do a bit of green laning on and to use in my local quarry on a sunny sunday, so it obviously gets very little use the bike is showing just over 18k which looks right with all its previous MOTs present, the problem i am having is the bike wont rev above 3200 rpm (according to an aftermarket rev counter) the rev counter in the dash just reads 0 all the time. It feels like its hitting a rev limiter, it has also got the usual xt660 throttle lag just off tick over, everything looks standard on the bike exhausts, air filter etc.

My road bike is a 2004 ZX9r so i was expecting a massive power drop on the XT but i cant even lift the front wheel when i need to without it running out of revs any advice would be greatly appreciated
