I recently purchased a pair of grip puppies to reduce the effect of vibs from the handle bar (numb hands after 50 miles or so- worse when I also have cold hands).
Unfortunately the over grips are too thick and makes usinf the levers a little clumsy and slow. So...

I thought of removing the rubber grips and fitting the puppies straight on the bar.
Can the standard rubber grips be removed (for use later maybe) without destroying them?
