skeetly is on a distinguished road
So I fitted Racetech springs and emulators to my 2006 R

Spring:
FRSP 375580 rate0.8kg/mm
This came with 60mm of aluminium tube to make preload spacers plus 4 washers to put either end of the preload spacer.

Emulator:
FEGV S4301

Damper rod adaptor:

FPEV AD4301

I drilled out the 4 holes in the damper rods to 8mm and added another pair of 8mm holes at 12mm centres and at 90 degrees to the existing.

The emulator sits on top of the damper rod.
put the new springs in dry and fully extended the tube to measure the distance from the tube top to the spring top.
Deducted the height of the tube cap up to the sealing shoulder plus the two washers supplied with the preload tube.
This measurement gives you a spacer tube length with zero preload; 45mm for me.
Anything you add on will preload the spring; I decided on 10mm.
So 55mm length of tube.

Filled the forks with 10 weight fork oil up to 125mm of tube top with fork collapsed and emulator valve fitted.
Extend forks, fit spring, washer preload spacer washer and fit caps.

I could have messed about with measuring sag and I guess I will in time; there's plenty of tube left to make new spacers if I want to change stuff.

But on the strength of one test run the difference is amazing.
I had previously fitted a Wilburs shock with 15w oil plus 30mm of extra preload on the old springs and that was good albeit a bit stiff.
This is much better; feels very plush.
I'm very pleased.
