Yeah I agree the base of the inner tent is very thin and will hole easily i have just bought a tarpaulin from GO OUT DOORS for �4. 6 ft x 8ft so just big enough.
They also sell heavy duty tarps for tent bases for around �10 but they are quite weighty probably around 1kg.
