+1. Wear earplugs if noise is an issue. I agree 100% about the racket if you don't. Bloody terrible.

I just ignore the buffeting. Except when following a vehicle, especially a truck, at highway speeds. Then the resulting instability and buffeting is tough to casual about.

Never a boring bike, the Tenere. It requires some thought to ride, and get the best from it without thrashing its ring off imo. A bit like a big 250 single, really. Crosswinds, anyone?

It is a shame that form came before function in the aero department, though. But it sort of works and you might get used to it. Nothing is perfect!
