Thanks McQuilt.
I am happy with fitting helmets, the Shark fits me fine, its just for a DS helmet the interior space is noticeably confined compared to my previous helmets. so was curious to know how warm it gets on summer days. Also the quality is an unknown to me, their neck warmer thinggy was an absolute joke and the joining really low quality
I was attracted to the various ways it can be set up. Ideally I wanted the visor, the peak and the tinted visor, but apparently you can't use the peak and the visor at the same time. The Goggles were a pretty cool touch, almost as sealed as the visor.
On the Jacket front, having owned My Rukka for over 6 years and using it to commute at least 3 days a week as well as longer jaunts I am a believer in their brand. they are expensive, and if I am going to spent 550 on a KLiM I may as well spend 800 on a replacement Rukka. I know that I will still be using the Rukka in another 5 years time.
Mine is starting to look a little tired, and a couple of teeth missing from a pocket zip, plus it doesn't have ventilation and a myriad of pockets.
I specifically like the RST because of the rear map pocket, built in water bladder pocket, Awesome ventilation options and many decent pockets. What I was trying to figure out is how does it stay warm in 8˚C rain when the waterproof layer is under the coat, surely that eventually gets drenched, You will be dry, but you will start really feeling the effects of wind chill factor?
Also what is their expected longevity?
In truth Ive recently brought a Richa typhoon Rain suit which i jump into when it starts to pour and thats been amazing.
