Re - Helmet
I have a Shoei Hornet DS which fitted my head better than the Arai.
Spend at least twenty minutes in the shop with the helmet on.
I find, now that I have a go-pro attached to the top, it feels a bit draggy, but only at 80+mph
It's perfect for what you asked for. But does it fit your head?
Re - Jacket:
I'm going to give my vote to KLiM gear here.
I've had my Overland jacket for over a year now, ridden days where I've done 400 miles in the rain, all the way.
Not a bit of me had got wet. The jacket does not hold water, it just beads off.
It's a thin jacket with good venting, so layers are needed in winter, but my god, you'll never be cold or wet.
If I was to buy again, it would be the Latitude jacket, for more pockets and better venting.
This stuff is worth paying for.
I spend every day on my bike, every single day, and I'm so glad I spent the money on decent riding gear.
You won't regret it.
