The port on the bike is covered with a blank female connector which looks like this...


Take the blank off and you will see the male connector which plugs into the diagnostic units female plug...


If you weren't supplied with the triangular connector then you will need to fabricate something to allow the green wire to connect to the terminal for green on the bike's diagnostic port connector. You can connect the crocodile clips direct to the battery.

BE CAREFUL THOUGH - Any miss-connection or reverse of polarity could result in ECU damage! Using the proper triangular plug will prevent any such problems as it only goes on one way.
Yeh, I have it connected correctly but it doesn't work, I thought I might have done something wrong...P.O.S.scan tool won't allow me to adjust co...it just reads "CX127" and nothing happens when pushing the buttons. My scan tool came with the triangular plug and the green wire on the same lead...EG: plug the correct lead in and the green wire is hanging there doing nothing.
