Best (and first mod) I did on mine was bin the Tourances!

Funny thing is I've run them on other bikes and they've been great, but they just don't seem suited to the Ten? Odd really because you'd have thought (as a recommended fitment) they'd have been tested on the bike. More likely they were stock fitment because Yamaha struck a "too good to refuse" deal with Metzler to supply them!

I have ridden a couple of Zs with Siracs (the other OE option), and although not my preferred choice of tyre, do seem to behave better than the Tourance.

Mind you, tyre choice is as much about user preference than anything else.
