Hi All,
Passed my bike test in Feb 2014, quiet late in life, all those wasted years, to tackle some of the green lanes in Devon. Bought a xr250 as a barn find none runner for 6 years. Got that running and enjoyed it so much bought an Africa Twin to explore further afield. After a trip to Elan valley in Wales decide AT was too big and heavy so bought a 660z in September. Was a standard bike so have started to mod. So far K+N high flow air filter, removed snorkel, Venom slip on exhaust, EO9 tyres, blanked off AIS, shortened screen and blanked off under headlight. Still got to do fork oil, seat re-profile, move horn, fender extender, 12v socket, +,+ the list will continue.
Considering Kev mod but mine already pulls from 2000 rpm in top so other than a bit smoother will i achieve much?
My son also has Tenere but has been fully modified so have a good comparison his bike has progressive springs, PCV, high front mudguard, high flow air filter, MTC exhaust, pivot pegs. side by side performance is the same at a range of situations. His is smoother than mine but no quicker.
