Incidentally after previous problems with the stock reg/rec I fitted a battery volt meter to the bike, I mounted the display under the speedo so I could constantly see what power the battery had. Glad I did as this alerted me to the latest fault while riding the 65 miles to work, saved me breaking down on the motorway again!!
