I rode a good few trails on an AJP Ultrapasser earlier in the year and was very impressed with how it ride. Lovely supple suspension, nice chassis and cycle parts, light and user friendly. It was only let down by the crappy 230cc Chinese air-cooled motor.
With an XT motor, this sort of bike could potentially be very good. Shame it's just a design study and only exists on someone's hard drive!

This is not just a concept, prototype was at the Intermot show this week.
155kg dry weight .... still quite heavy but this motor alone must be 55kg, it's a heavy lump. I rode few small AJPs and I liked them, they aim for 'performance without race like servicing' niche which is very refreshing
Also whenever I see the guys who sell them here they've got some new version/rally prototype hanging around so it's clear they can coblbe sth up fairly quickly.
