I also have that ratio ... but fitted an Off-The-Road 525 kit along with the drive double bearing modification and the South African poly cush drives.
That setup's been on for 10,000 kms now and is proving to be a fantastically smooth and reliable configuration. So far the wear factor also looks just great as well.
As against a 15/42 ratio ... a 15/48 sprocket will feel like a rocketship off the line
