Michelin anakee3
Anyone any experience of Michelin Anakee III?
I've just fitted a set to the XTZ as a replacement for the Dunlop Trialmax.
The Dunlop's were very good but I'm only getting about 2000 miles out of a rear so I thought I'd try something else.
The tyres were fitted today and I couldn't believe how skinny the front looks. It's like a mountain bike tyre! It's the correct size but it just look really weedy and leaves load of space under the mud guard.
I had read on an American forum that the tyre looks a bit skinny and they weren't wrong.
I've just been out for a quick run and the handling is fine, it goes where you point it and reacts quickly to input from the bars, skinny front doesn't seems to make any difference to grip but I'm just scrubbing it in. The tyres do seem to roll with less vibration than the Dunlop's and thats probably due to less nobbles and more rubber on the road. Conditions were warm and dry.
I will give them a work out this week and report back .
