I have a xena disc lock and I drilled a matching hole through my rear carrier plate so the disc lock is tight when it's locked down on the carrier, stopping it rattling about. It's easy to get at and is as simple as you like when you need it. ( the elastic strap is there for the luggage and not the lock )
