That cracked weld was waiting to happen...
it was fuse welded..yer can see the crack stops
when it gets to where filler rod was used... Even
at the end of where the filler rod was used you can
see a pull off crater... don't they have slope controls
on there tig welder...

fuse weld.... where the 2 sections are melted togeather
with out the use of filler rod...so the weld is thiner than
the metal it joins..
