According to my local yamaha dealer here in France, and to the yamaha website and brochures, the lower engine bars are no longer an option or available. The only others I've found that look similar are the Puig ones. Anyone have experience of those and know whether they are any good?

My bike has the Yamaha aluminium bash plate already, but I'd like to add some more protection to the engine casings and water pump. I may in fact decide to dump the bash plate and invest in the Adventure Spec one, but if the Puig bars are any good, they may get me what I want at a lower price than the AS setup.

Other option I guess is the Hepco and Becker. I see plenty of info here about those, but I didn't find anything about the Puig ones.
