Hi ozzz, yes the whole pan is empty, 2 reasons, one for ease of fitting indicators,number plate and reflector nuts and bolts. And2 it has created another storage space, for me, that's to put my bike cover in, but could be used for anything really! The finished article will be cast from 2/3 layers of grp, should be nice and light.
