I've had this on mine since new. Shop denied it had ever been dropped.

Warranties out now so no recourse but I've stripped everything and can't find anything obviously wrong. Might be the same as yours - didn't think to check the holes in the yolk. Didn't think a mass produced part could be that sh|t but Yam, you surprise me no more!
