I use to own an xtr and i have similar comments like spinner dan. I'd say it's got plenty of grunt, can do plenty off roading normally with better off road type tyres but you'd be surprised what it can do.

get a test ride on one and I'm sure you'd be surprised

I now have an xtz after a year and a bit with a triumph tiger 1050 and just had to come back to a big single
