         Take it out in stages, say 200ml at a time, then check level as per manual after starting the engine and revving it etc. Then see where you're at.

         Yes. The airbox is where all the excess will go over time. The drain tube will be full and likely to have backed-up into the airbox. Take the plug out of the airbox drain tube and leave it to run out over night.
