i had trouble with mine early on filling up after long stints but it never seemed to do any harm other than a wet airbox having a foam oiled filter too ....probably helped

heres what i did ..if you do use the idea check its working to your satisfaction shortly aftwerwards

basically a cigerette tip [rolling type ] bound with tape to make it a snug fit ...

instead of a bung i used a push fastener in the end which does let oil drip slowly out ...and doesnt allow the pipe to fill up

retaining the original clip to secure it

as a precaution i put a zip tie around the pipe just at the top of the cig filter and crimp the pipe enough to stop the filter moving upwards should it want to

there is no detectable pull with the bung in a cant get it to suck wd40 up ...
but as a precaution thats what i did just in case the bung falls out



i honestly had forgotton about it for the last three years and after this posting thought id give it a check ...all still good

its works fine for me the tube drains ....and the airbox has been spotless
