I will be heading out early next month on a multi-day ride around Northern NSW. On my return I am fully expecting that my rear tyre will need replacing.
If so, I will take the opportunity while the wheel is out, to also replace the bearings and cush-drive rubbers.
It is also my intention to machine the sprocket hub and spacer, so that two bearings can be fitted in the hub. Hopefully this will firm up the hub and reduce the rate at which the cush-drive rubbers self destruct.
I intend documenting the process for those who may be interested in doing something similar...
