In very general terms of exhaust physics a single can 2-1-1 system lends itself to improving torque and a twin can 2-1-2 system will lean more towards improved top end power. The differences will be very negligible though on a single cylinder bike - the more cylinders you have the more exhaust tuning becomes critical.



Weight and cost mainly. However a twin can system will almost certainly be quieter due to the extra volume of silencing material, so if quietness is your highest priority then twin is probably the way to go...

I reckon I would go more for torque than anything else so may opt for the single pipe....

The one concern I have is what the right hand side will look like with no pipe on it, does it look like something is missing or is it clean?

Guess I will have to hunt through the gallery...
