i got the yamaha bracket which is high but the reason for it is one it includes the hand rails for pillions (the handles are wider) two there is a couple of loops so you can fit a U-Lock under the plate.

i will agree totaly with it being high, i have found when going on rides i leave the box at home because you lose about 10-15MPH out of the top end.

the good thing i will say is i use the loops to hold the U-Lock i have comes in handy when locking my helmet to the bike and a lilttle security when parked away from home.

i put tons of crap in my box (givi flow). i always use it for work as i leave my helmet in there but i also carry a oxford monster lock and chain in there plus the u-lock there weight more then the 5kg they say but i dont see no stress marks on the bike what so ever. the braket i have uses the screw holes from the stock pillion handles, this is great cos no drilling involved.

the givi one looks good but i'm pritty sure u need to drill holes in the back of the bike to fit it and plus as it dont use the pillion handle holes so i cant see it being able to hold alot more weight then 5kg

the max i have had in the box is about 8-10kg with no trouble (only a little handling difference)

and oh yea dont listen to fran its not "like putting a roof rack on a porsche"

lol just kidding fran

hope this helps you out mate
So.... why are you the only one i know who has one?
