Thumbs up Michelin Anakee 3 review

So I have had the new Michelin Anakee 3 's on my bike for almost a month now. To be honest, they are great tires!!! They offer superior performance on the road! Now while they do not give the same performance as the Anakee 2 's do off road, they are more than able to allow general dust roads to be ride-able. I took it through a section of sand, and the tires gave decent performance, allowing for clean cuts through the sand. The gravel areas were a little more difficult as due to the more rounded tire (road tire shape), the bike struggled to get some grip, and tended to slip around. In the wet, they work extremely well. I got caught in a hail storm on the way to Plettenberg bay (South Africa) and there was no change in performance between the wet road and the dry road. Braking is much sharper with these tires too.

Overall:
I would score the tire 8/10, and a ratio of 80/20 - road/offroad

Note: I use my bike for transport on a daily basis, so my riding is generally based on in town riding (roads), therefore this tire is great for me. For riders that do more offroad riding, I would not suggest the tire. Rather get yourself an offroad tire for when you do ride offroad, and keep the Anakee 3 's for when you plan on riding in town.
