Some protection from the pish-taking when one falls off would be dead handy - you could corner the market on that!

On a more serious note, I can't really think of anything that isn't already being made (but I suppose you could always do it better/cheaper/faster though). If you're handy at fabrication and design, the one thing that does annoy me about the Tenere (that could have been fabricated/designed better by Yamaha) is the headlamp subframe - it is weak, vibrates all over the place and isn't really ideal to mount GPS/navigation/roadbook/what-have-you on.
