It was all going just fine until a puncture on lap 3 special test (2nd timed special) ended it all. Managed to limp back thanks to the rimlock.
A super event that gets you buzzing with 80+ on the fire roads..
The Tenere is fine until it gets technical, off camber and muddy - then it's horrid and heavy.
A great weekend that has given me the drive to get back racing again. The format of the rallies is quick relaxing, with no rush to complete the lap other than the hurry on for the special test.
A real mix of bikes but by far pukka enduro bikes are favourites and for good reasons too.
I'm already paid up for the Kilelder, Ryedale and Centennial Rallies and I'm not going to ride the Ten' around so is going back to pre rally trim to be joined in the garage with something more off road biased - watch this space.
