Just decided I'd add an OptiMate to my Christmas wish list. I'll hardly be using my Tenere over the winter, I expect, so this might be a good idea. It's in the garage with power available. It has a Datatool alarm so will eventually run out of power if not used.
So is the cheapest Optimate suitable / good enough?

I've heard mention of attaching a cigarette lighter plug to the end so I could then connect it to my [permanently live] 12v socket in my top box..... any thoughts on that? Anyone know of a lead to do that for me?
