Just as a very rough ball-park guide, I paid �45 for labour last year when I had a BSA front wheel rebuilt (but it does vary). It isn't all that expensive, especially when you think of what some jokers charge just for fitting a tyre!

I really wouldn't have a go yourself unless you know exactly what you're doing (or someone who does at hand) and the right tools. Believe me, I've had a go a few times and I've never been entirely happy with the result and sought expert assistance to fettle things.
