Superglue works for me, dry fit everything first though to make sure you are happy with the line of the wires, throttle opening etc. no second chances but no more slipping either :-)

Many years ago it was common practice to use hairspray, (I jest you not...), the spray on lacquer allows a short period of time to fit and adjust the grips then as the solvent evaporates the lacquer hardens and adheres to both the grip and the handlebar/throttle tube depending on which grip you are fitting. Not as permanent as Superglue but better than Evo-stick or similar impact adhesives which tend to soften once hot.
