Fiddich is on a distinguished road
East to West/West to East

Just a recommendation for anybody planning a trip up to Scotland and likes:

1. Single track roads.
2. Hills/mountains
3. lochs.
4. Being Alone.
5. To stay away from tacky touristy things (John O Groats).
6. To take their time and take in the scenery.
7. Dodging sheep and their droppings.

Try Helmsdale East coast to Laxford Bridge West Coast.
For those who like road numbers:
Helmsdale A897 - B871 (Syre) - B873 (Altnaharra) - A836 (towarda Lairg) - A838 Laxford Bridge.
I forgot to turn left onto the B871 and ended up on the North coast at Melvich where after repairing a puncture for a couple of French tourists I turned tail back onto the route.

Like a lot of places - for best results do it on a nice day. In rain and mist with no view........ well .....stay in with a dram.

I didn't take many photos for a change -too busy just looking.

Kessock Bridge - Inverness on the way

Loch Naver

Loch Badenloch

Church at Syre
