Hi thunder, yep a cheapy pump gets my vote, I've had one for the last two years and have used it many times.

the best way is to remove the plastic casing, yep you need to be careful now cos the gears and crank rod etc are exposed, a real finger mangle, though it is now half the size, mine also the gauge removed to make it even more compact. if I can fit it on an 450exc, where it proved it's worth yet again, as i got a front puncture while trailing in the pyrenees.
