My fuel reserve light comes on at about 187km, then it comes off & on till about 215km when it stays on.
I reckon it's a good idea to reset one of your trip meters every time you fill up so that you can learn when the light will come on & you know EXACTLY how far you've travelled.
A fuel gauge would be nice psychologically but the reset trick should help ease your worried mind.
