Use to have an 06 XTR and sold it with 43k miles on it and it was only starting to feel as if the motor would be needing other thant standard servicing as say 50k miles or so, but i did ride it quiet hard and used it for every type of riding with quiet alot of town work (which is hard on any engine).
Have a look into the suspension service history, mine was getting quiet bouncy at that stage but i like softesh suspension so it suited me ok but probably could have done with an overhaul. Again just see when for eg the head race bearings where changed etc, not massive ��� or $$$ to change but something to bargin with on price
