Only had the xt660 tenere about a month, its a 08 model with 2000 miles on it.
The previous owner had it from new and never used it in the rain.
Riding home got caught in the rain, After about 15 mins the engine management light came on.
I was lucky by then to be near enough home.
The clocks went off and I pulled up and there was a burning smell, the engine management light starting flashing.
Is this the dreaded rectifier problem? Is it a easy fix? Or will the rectifier need replacing with I presume some of the loom?
