Looks like quite a good idea for the layman, but I suspect cost will be the ultimate factor, & as mentioned, most people get the wrong pressure anyway & don't understand stopping distances/ABS etc.
I doubt I am capable of taking ANY bike tyre suitable for my X to its design limits, but I still look at 'Bike' magazine Tyre Chooser & internet reviews, along with this forum. I have Michelin Pilot Road 3 which seem to be very good. I like the idea of Avon Distanzia, because of the nice tread pattern & apparent off road ability, but is it any good at cornering?? I doubt an EU sticker would change my mind.....
