I did spend a lot of time checking tyres each time I stopped tho... I normally carry a spare tube on tours like that, (as well as tyre levers and tools to remove wheels). There can be a very slight imbalance of the wheel after you first put it in the tube but it soon goes once the Slime is distributed. I run knobblies on the Z so the ride isn't as smooth as on pure road tyres anyway.
