and inform the H&S Exec - it's important you do.. could have been a small child, not your well protected head.
Then,, like Feck says, contact the office and tell them you want your lid replaced. If they refuse, go for the full hit against their insurance, it'll cost them much more in the long run. But then again, the H&S should give them plenty of grief.
Personally, I'd get checked out by a doctor too, especially as you were dizzy for a while.
I appreciate these guys have to work, but they have to do it safely (insofar as the public are concerned), if they weren't interested after then this is an good indication of the attitude they have to the public. You need to have them investigated - imagine if the same thing happens next week to a toddler ? and you could have done something ?
