My 6 year old son got me good on April 1. I was out on a group ride, and I left before the family woke. So he told me on the phone that a "rock from outer space" hit our VW. I believed him, and spent the morning visualising the smouldering interior of the car, space rock sitting on the seat.

Would insurance pay out? Would the car be repairable? Should I feel bad that I'd taken over the garage for bikes, exposing the VW to alien danger?

At least he only brings it up 20 times a day now....
