The Scottoiler's best feature is not really the fact that you don't have to remember to lube the chain, but because of the way it lubes it. My chain is nearly 4 years old, as are the sprockets, they have been through 4 winters, lots of long trips, hundreds of short ones close to 30,000 miles and the chain is still very servicable. It's had a Scottoiler from day 1.
