Who ever is telling you that is a idiot,Ohlins are are as good as it gets,rather self indulgently I run 4 bikes the only one with a stock shock is the the XT,of the other 3 two have Ohlins and the other has Wilbers,the mistake folk make when comparing is check the spec against the price,some shocks are cheaper than Ohlins for no other reason they have less spec,be it separate compresion and rebound,remote reservoir or remote preload ajuster.
