I understand what Nick is after. I was merely trying to point out "alloy" is not a singular metal - it is a mix.

As I said steel is an alloy of iron (mostly iron and carbon) as such even if the bars were steel they would still be an alloy - but not "ALI" (Aluminium).

Didn't mean to be pedantic on this.......
