I think they will struggle with this the same as with the other 'special editions' of this bike.
It's just too expensive and doesn't have any real advantage over any other bike. If the buyers are road riders, looking for long distance ability, then the Honda Crossrunner comes in at �9200, the Varadero (despite it's looks is a peach of a long distance bike) at �9k, then there is the new Kwacker Versys below the �10k mark.
For off-road ability, and it does have some as we've seen, you are still looking at spending ����'s to get it to an acceptable standard, and there aren't many riders would take a �12k bike off-road. But lets face it, you could buy a new Honda or Kawasaki and still have enough left over for a decent off-road bike.
Yamaha have been going in the wrong direction in the last few years, they need to rethink, not re-colour..... In my opinion anyway..
