I upgraded the front to HyperPro ages ago, they are a vast improvement on the stock springs.
In the case of HyperPro, it's not just springs, they are longer than the OE ones (and the spacer is removed), they also spec a different oil weight. The front is much more stable and less likely to wash out over the OE setup. Braking is far better and the bike turns in better under load on the road.
Sort of depends how far you need to go, rather than how far you want to go!
As for the rear, I upgraded that to HyperPro too, but there was little improvement over a (what I suspect) new OE spring, other than it was cheaper to go HypePro!! (Yamaha OE spare prices ).
