If you do less than 6000 miles or 10000Km an a year, then you should really be changing your oil annually, regardless of mileage. Don't just wait for 6K/10K to tick round if it's going to be a long time. Never have oil in a motor for more than 12 months, even if you've only done a dozen miles at a dawdling pace!
