Hi, I am currently looking for an XT 660 Tenere or possibly an R and will almost certainly need to lower the bike as I too have a 30 in inside leg. The dealer I know as advised on the possibility of lowering links & dropping the forks method.
Having read this thread I like the idea of the lower seat. I see the factory fitted lower seat you mention in your picture. Are these available anywhere or have you got to get foam taken out of the seat as CaptMoto advises. If this the only way is there any cushioning left? I guess this would leave my rear end pretty bad after a short while. NAC
