Erm, well yes I have, but only as a byproduct of changing to WP forks, not deliberately. The bike still stops well enough, but I can't really see why you'd bother if you weren't changing the forks.

The caliper doesn't really weigh much. The disc is obviously a bit more but I think you could probably achieve a similar weight saving by going for a dump before heading out on the bike
