i'm not the best person to give you details on a lowering kit, it was on my bike when i bought it, first time i rode it was in Argentina heading north so all i can tell you is it felt normal to me as i didn't have anything to compare it with
...but what i can tell you is the previous owner who added the lowering kit lowered the front as well, i raised it back up to stock level and the bike handled and performed better that way
side stand was stock length, the bike blew over twice in the strong Patagonia winds on its side stand so a shorter one maybe a good idea, but the center stand was lowered, i think this was unnecessary, it made it difficult to do a tire change to fix a flat as both wheels were too close to the ground
